In the US, the number of active oil and gas drilling rigs has grown for the second year in a row. This was reported by the Prime agency with reference to the American oilfield service company Baker Hughes.
The number of installations in 2022 reached 779 units. This is 33% more than in 2021. This is the first time such growth has been recorded since 2018.
At the same time, in the week from December 24 to December 30, the number practically did not change compared to the previous week. Oil installations became one more (621 units), and gas installations – one less (156), specifies Oil and Capital.
Earlier, on November 15, it was reported that the number of oil and gas drilling rigs in the United States increased for two weeks in a row. And the total – 779 – is the highest since March 2020.
Prior to that, on November 9, it was reported that gasoline stocks in the United States for the week fell to a minimum since November 2014 – by 0.9 million barrels, amounting to 205.7 million barrels.
