Sanju’s return
Indications are that Sanju Samson may return to the Indian team through the T20 series against Australia (India vs Australia T20). Sanju last wore the Indian jersey in the T20 series against Ireland in August. After this, he did not get a place in the team in the Asia Cup and ODI World Cup. The fans are hoping that Sanju will return to the Indian team as it is certain that India will give rest to the senior players from the series against Australia. There are indications that the BCCI will announce the Indian team for the Australian series on Wednesday, when the first semi-final of the ODI World Cup will take place. That means the semi-day has become crucial for Sanju too.
Hardik Pandya will not play

Star all-rounder Hardik Pandya, who was ruled out of the World Cup midway due to injury, has confirmed that he will not play in the series against Australia. Earlier, Hardik was injured during the World Cup match against Bangladesh. BCCI’s medical team has advised Hardik to rest for six to eight weeks after sustaining a left ankle injury. With the certainty that Hardik will not play, India is forced to find a new captain for the series against Australia.
Asian Games stars to the team

ESPN Cricinfo reports that India will rest most of the players in the Indian team, which is currently playing the ODI World Cup, from the Aussie series. Therefore, the players of the team who won the gold medal for India in the recent Asian Games will be called to the Indian squad again. India became champions in the Asian Games under the leadership of Ruturaj Gaekwad. It is indicated that Yashaswi Jaiswal, Tilak Verma, Rinku Singh and Jitesh Sharma who were in the team then will be called to the Indian team once again.
