PTI reported that the police arrested a youth named Shahjahan Saif Ali. The young man came here wearing Paruda with the desire to see his girlfriend in Mehmadapur village one last time before starting a new job. But when the locals realized it, the incident went out of hand.

It was only when the suspicious locals told Paruda Matan that it was a woman and not a man. With this, the locals informed the police.
Following the complaint of the locals, the police registered a case and arrested the accused.
ASP Sanjiv Bajpai said that they were in love for four years and the girlfriend was asking her boyfriend to come wearing Paruda to avoid the attention of others. The incident went viral when someone captured the incident on a mobile phone and shared it on social media.
