Bengaluru. The case of suicide of software engineer Atul Subhash is now gaining momentum. Atul Subhash, who works in a reputed IT company in Bengaluru, has left a 24-page suicide note before committing suicide. Since his death, the #MenToo movement has been continuously growing on social media.
Social media users are coming together with the hashtags #JusticeForAtulSubhash and #MenToo to expose systemic biases against men in the legal and social spheres. In fact, software engineer Atul (Atul Subhash), resident of Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, was found hanging in his apartment in Munnekolalu, Marathahalli, Bengaluru on Monday morning. Atul has left a 24-page suicide note before his death, in which he has said that domestic discord forced him to take this step.
Atul (Atul Subhash) has blamed his wife Nikita Singhania, mother-in-law, brother-in-law and cousin for his death. In the suicide note, he has also accused Jaunpur Family Court Judge Rita Kaushik of demanding a bribe of Rs 5 lakh in exchange for the settlement. However, no one has been arrested yet in this case. In this matter, Bengaluru Police took major action on Tuesday and registered a case of abetment to suicide against his wife and her family.
The T-shirt that Atul was wearing while making the video had ‘Justice is Due’ written on it. In the 24-page suicide note, Atul has said that Nikita and her family have filed 9 cases against him including domestic violence, murder, dowry harassment. Atul Subhash also said that since marriage, Nikita and her family kept asking him for money on some pretext or the other. Atul has also raised questions on the justice system in the video.
