A mother and her son were attacked on Sunday morning at Rohaniya village in Mala beat of Umaria district of Bandhavgarh tiger sanctuary. A 25-year-old woman, Archana Chaudhary, saved her 15-month-old baby from a tiger attack with extraordinary courage.
In the morning, Archana went to the field with her baby to use the toilet. Meanwhile, their son was attacked by a tiger. But Archana saved her child without giving up her courage. The injured mother and child were admitted to the hospital.

Archana later said that the tiger had bitten the baby on the jaw. The locals who heard the noise ran and chased away the tiger and saved the mother and the baby. After the attack, the mother and child were shifted to the primary health center in Manpur and later to the Umaria district hospital for specialist treatment, said Forest Guard Ram Singh Marco. He said that the forest department team is trying to find the tiger that attacked the child and the mother.
