The victim lodged a complaint with the police regarding this matter. After which the police arrested the accused person. Actually, the accused was brought to the health center due to some illness. His family members were also present with him.
When the nurse went to administer saline to him, the patient sexually harassed her and allegedly touched her body inappropriately. After the news of the incident spread, tension spread in the government hospital. On the information of the hospital administration, the police reached the spot and arrested the accused patient. However, a complaint has been lodged in the Ilambazar police station regarding the matter and at present the police has started investigating the matter.
However, before this, in Rajbari area of North 24 Parganas, a man sexually harassed a nine-year-old girl. As soon as people came to know about this, they started protesting. People’s anger over the incident flared up when a local TMC leader allegedly asked the victim’s family to settle the matter. Angry people attacked the TMC leader’s house. After this, the RAF used force to control the situation. During this, tear gas shells were also fired.
