There were shots of a bullet hitting the helmet of one of the employees of the PMC “Wagner” during the fighting in Artemovsk (Ukrainian name – Bakhmut). Video on Friday, April 14, published the agency “RIA Novosti”.
The fire was led by a Ukrainian sniper. The video shows how one of the bullets hits the helmet of a PMC employee standing near the wall of a destroyed brick building. However, the bullet ricocheted off the helmet, and the PMC employee himself was in shock for some time from what had happened. He stood up and turned around to take cover.
Earlier on Friday, the Ministry of Defense spoke about the conduct of PMC “Wagner” in the fight for the quarters of Artemovsk. As Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov, official representative of the ministry, said at a briefing, the Wagner assault detachments are now conducting high-intensity combat operations to capture the quarters of the western part of the city. They are provided with fire support by artillery and aviation of the “Southern” group of troops.
The founder of the Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, in turn, noted on April 13 that the most difficult battles were being fought for the city. According to him, it is too early to talk about the complete encirclement of Artemovsk, since Kyiv continues to pull up reserves for defense.
