We already know that technological advances serve to improve and facilitate our lives, and while at first they serve a specific purpose, people find other uses as these technologies develop.
It is because of that we should never limit technology to a single use, since there are ingenious minds capable of turning the tortilla around and coming up with a new application. Virtual Reality (VR) was originally thought to entertainment and communicationIn other words, to watch movies or play video games in a realistic way or like the very expensive glasses that Apple recently launched, to have conversations with people who are miles away and feel as if they were in front of you.
To stand out from the rest, it is important to offer a differential and original product or service, as is the case of this water park located in the German town of Starnberg, who had the brilliant idea of combine the endless possibilities of VR with the fun of these water slides.
To do this, this water park partnered with the digital company Bellast VR with the aim of develop glasses that were waterproofas well as a distribution and maintenance system for these lenses.
Upon reaching the slide, customers have to select one of the three glasses that offerwhere each consists of a different scenario and therefore a new adventure. You can choose between several montages, for example, a journey through the jungle, snowy mountains with dragons, space or a palace that levitates through the air.
The great thing about this idea is that you not only experience around you that you are in a virtual world and that you are in the middle of the jungle, but when you get on the slide you experience movement, which makes much more realistic and exciting the descent.
But the VR fun doesn’t end here, and in case you get bored after trying the four descent scenarios that are available, this water park also offers an RV diving area, which allows you thanks to a special mask to dive in a pool, but seeing virtual worlds again.
