Former star Thierry Henry has left his position as coach of the French Olympic team after leading them to a silver medal at the 2024 Olympic Games, the French Football Federation announced yesterday.
The local football federation revealed that Henry – a world champion with his country as a player in 1998 and who was bound by a contract until June 2025 – made this decision for “reasons that are allegedly personal to him”.
“Winning a silver medal for my country at the Olympic Games will remain the greatest honour of my life,” Henry said in a statement.
