Thieves are making their move: for the first time in years more stolen cars and car break-ins

After years of decline, the number of car thefts is rising again. Last year, 5973 passenger cars were stolen, 11 percent more than in 2021. The number of car burglaries also rose by 12 percent: more than 43,000 were committed, which amounts to about 118 per day. In the past ten years, there has been a decrease in the number of thefts and burglaries.
