Nandamuri Tarakaratna’s passing away at the young age of 39 has left everyone in mourning. Tarakaratna’s death within a few days of his full-fledged political entry is shocking. Tarakaratna announced earlier this year that he will contest as an MLA candidate in the 2024 elections. To gain recognition as a strong leader in the Telugu Desam Party, he made whirlwind tours across Andhra Pradesh. On this occasion, he met the senior leaders of TDP and took their blessings.

In the background of Tarakaratna becoming politically active, the issue of where he will contest as an MLA has become a hot topic in TDP. There was a campaign that YSR Congress party firebrand MLA Kodali Nani would contest from Gudivada constituency. Nimmakuru village, where the late NT Rama Rao was born, is the seat of the Gudivada Legislative Assembly. At that time, there were reports that the leadership was planning to check Kodali, who was a stick for Chandrababu and TDP, by fielding Tarakaratna, the heir of Nandamuri. As a part of this, Tarakaratna toured Krishna district vigorously last month.

Also, there was a campaign that Tarakaratna would contest as the MLA candidate of Hindupuram of Anantapur district, which is the stronghold of the Nandamuri family. From 1983 to 2019 assembly elections, only TDP candidates were successful here. NTR twice, Harikrishna once, Balakrishna twice contested from the same position and won. In this order, Tarakaratna toured Hindupuram extensively last month. Balakrishna’s much-loved Tarakatna toured Hindupuram and became politically important.

Tarakaratna, who made it clear that he will contest as an MLA in the next election, took part in the ‘Yuvagalam’ padayatra organized by Nara Lokesh, National General Secretary of the Telugu Desam Party, at a time when he was becoming politically very busy. While hiking with Lokesh, Tarakaratna suffered a heart attack and collapsed. He was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Kuppam and treated.

Then he was shifted to Narayana Hrudayalaya Hospital in Bangalore for better treatment. Tarakaratna, who fought with death for 23 days in a mortal condition, finally passed away, leaving everyone in mourning. The fans are in tears over the partial loss of a leader who has a lot of future while taking steps politically.
