Mumbai: Sachin Tendulkar has said that he is trying to create a free environment for his son that he got at a young age.
Speaking at the launch of his book ‘Scintillating Sachin’, Sachin Tendulkar said:
I got support from my family at a young age. Ajit Tendulkar (brother) was instrumental in solving my problems. Nitin Tendulkar (brother) would paint for me on my birthday. My mother was working in LIC and father was a professor. They gave me freedom. I request all parents to let their children act freely.
I am trying to create that independent environment for my son as well. People will appreciate us only if we appreciate ourselves. Now I tell Arjun the advice my father gave me to focus on sports.
Thus Sachin spoke.
And during his speech, he mentioned about his wife Anjali, “During the Australia tour, I got injured and had to undergo surgery on both legs. But Anjali came to Australia and canceled the surgery. I was very frustrated with the injuries. But Anjali took care of me with love,” he said with resilience.
