There is a huge increase in the number of pilgrims traveling through international airports. According to the statistics of flights during the Hajj season, the number of people who have reached Hajj this time is more. Most of the pilgrims are Indonesians. India is in the second position, Pakistan is in the third position, Bangladesh is in the fifth position and Nigeria is in the fifth position.

The ‘Bag Without Passenger’ initiative was very active. All the pilgrims departing by air have successfully delivered their luggage directly to the airport from their accommodation. 6,80,000 pilgrims availed this service. 11,48,000 pieces of luggage were transported through more than 2200 flights. This time, the authority had given permission to receive pilgrims at six international airports including Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam, Madinah, Yambu, Twaif. People arrived for Haj via these six airports.

Government agencies have collaborated to provide the best services and provide all the facilities to the pilgrims. Hajj activity plan was implemented as per the instructions of the government. General Authority of Civil Aviation President Abdul Aziz Alduwailej said that it was a great success. Alduwailaj thanked all the departments that worked to facilitate pilgrims’ travel at the airports during this year’s Hajj season.
