Thorsten Legat turns 55 today
To this day, Thorsten Legat’s trademark is his unusually good fitness. Since 2014 he has been known not only as a football player and coach, but also as a TV actor and reality star who is not afraid of any physical challenge.
Thorsten Legat’s career began as a player for VfL Bochum. Then came the move to the Bundesliga. In total he appeared here 243 times.
Thorsten Legat dealt with his childhood and youth with three brothers in his 2014 autobiography “When Life Plays Foul”. He also discussed the terrible attacks and sexual abuse by his alcoholic father.

He proved in numerous TV shows that he is really tough. Thorsten Legat was injured in 2022 while training for the “RTL Diving” and suffered a ruptured testicle. He could no longer take part in the competition. But in the subsequent “Ninja Warrior Celebrity Special” he fought again for a good cause.
Legat has been married to his wife Alexandra since 1996. The couple has two sons and lives in the Bergisches Land (NRW). His youngest son Nico is also known through reality TV: he was on in 2023 “Tempation Island” and made headlines when he cheated on his girlfriend during the show.
Today, however, there is good reason for father Thorsten and his loved ones to celebrate: he is turning 55. Congratulations!
