The heads of three people were found this Monday in front of a military installation located in the resort of Cancun (Quintana Roo), in the Mexican Caribbean, according to security sources.
In addition to human remains, a message was found on a blanket at the scene directed at the criminal organization Cártel de Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG).
On the evening of this Monday, a intense mobilization in Cancun after the information of human remains abandoned on López Portillo avenue, in front of the facilities of the 64th Infantry Battalion, in a popular neighborhood of the city.
According to information collected by Efe, the alert entered the emergency number around 7:00 p.m. and the authorities immediately activated the red code, which establishes the maximum alert for all security agencies.
Because the remains were left in front of the main entrance to the military zone,military people were in charge of guarding the area waiting for the forensic experts from the Quintana Roo Attorney General’s Office, who were in charge of removing the human remains and other evidence.
In addition to the remains, the alleged hitmen hung a banner in the place with threats directed at a criminal group that it would be operating in the place which also posted photographs of six people.
The area was heavily guarded by agents of the Secretary of the Navy, the National Guard, Sedena, and state and municipal police agencies. These events occur after several days of violence registered in popular neighborhoods of Cancun.
Last Thursday, a woman’s head was left in a cooler along with a message at Punta Piedra Beach in the resort of Tulum. Likewise, on Saturday morning the discovery of a tied up body with gunshot wounds inside a trash can was recorded.
That same day in the afternoon Three people were shot at in the El Crucero areaamong the wounded were two sellers of corn, towards whom the attack was presumably directed.
Several attacks were also registered on Sunday among them the shooting murder of a person who was leaving a hairdressing salon and in the afternoon in another armed attack in which one man lost his life and another was seriously injured.
This morning at a press conference, Rubén Oyarvide Pedrero, head of the Citizen Security Secretariat (SSC), announced that so far in May have been seized in different parts of the statemainly in the northern zone, 31,308 doses of narcotics in Quintana Roo.
