Elon Musk prices his ‘low-cost cybervans’: 56,000 euros
To purchase a Tesla cybertruck you need two things: $61,000 (56,000 euros) and a lot of patience to wait for delivery. However, Elon Musk – in his version as the founder of Tesla – has begun to deliver Tesla’s most basic electric vans. Apparently, more than a million people have signed up for pre-purchases, the same ones who will have to forget about the short-term whim since annual production will be 250,000 units. On the other hand, the electric models with all-wheel drive will cost $80,000 (73,000 euros) and the premium version, called Cyberbeast, will exceed $100,000 (92,000 euros), although those interested in purchasing them will have to wait until next year, which is not that long away either.
The best apps of the year for Apple devices
Apple has just shared the winners of the App Store Awards 2023, a course whose trend was Generative Artificial Intelligence, a phenomenon that was felt among the most successful programs of the course. Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, described as “amazing and inspiring” the work done by developers, “capable of creating incredible applications and games that are redefining the world around us.” Immediately afterwards, the executive applauded the best proposals for the apple application store. The best app for iPhone has been AllTrains while the one for iPad has been Pret-a-makeup. The winner in the Apple TV category was Mubi and in the Apple Watch it was SmartGym. In the games section, the winners have been Honkai: Star Rail (iPhone), Lost in Play (iPad) and for Apple Arcade, the game of the year has been ‘Hello Kitty Island Adventures’.
Generative AI chips, the great vein of the semiconductor market
It seems easy to discover it as soon as someone discovers it: the largest technological business of the moment is in the production of chips designed to respond to the demands of Generative Artificial Intelligence. And that, precisely, is what Deloitte has highlighted in its prospective study for next year. According to their estimates, sales of this type of microprocessors will generate a business volume of 576,000 million dollars (528,000 million euros) worldwide, which will represent just over 11% of the total market. The most relevant thing about the data is that, two years ago, this segment was practically nil. Looking to 2027, this market for semiconductors optimized for Generative AI will range between $110 billion in the low range and more than $400 billion in the highest range.
