New Delhi. Short video app Chingari, one of the few TikTok rivals, on Friday announced that it has crossed 107 million downloads on Google Playstore. Chingari recently tied up with multiple platforms for unparalleled entertainment and engagement collaborations, including celeb-based apps in Indian languages, collaborations with digital content providers and video-sharing platforms.
Sumit Ghosh, CEO & Co-Founder, Chingari App, said, “We launched Chingari with the concept of being unique in terms of short-video sharing platform. This has driven us to continuously go beyond the best of a brand. As the spark has now really come on the charts with this current success. For us this is the beginning of great achievements.”
Chingari has also done a lot of work with the music industry. This includes association with music labels in Indian languages such as Punjabi, Marathi, Bengali and Bhojpuri to offer users options in the regional language. The app has collaborated with artists like Nucleya for successful concerts.
To keep its users engaged, Spark has also added a first of its kind AR (Augmented Reality) filter to its platform to give content creators more advanced front and rear camera tools to work with.
Furthermore, a content creator on this platform not only earns recognition and sponsorship but is also awarded points (depending on how viral the video is) which can be redeemed for money.
The company previously revealed that the app saw around 100,000 downloads per hour at a time. The spark app also recorded 500,000 downloads within just 72 hours.
The company claims that with 107 million downloads, Spark has risen on the popularity charts with its myriad of unique offerings that meet the changing user demands. (IANS)
