Tirumala Leopard: Once again a leopard has created a stir in Tirumala. The cheetah was spotted again on the walkway. Devotees were worried when a cheetah was spotted at the 2450 step. After receiving the information, the officials of the forest department immediately reached the spot. Devotees are taking care not to fear. For the safety of the devotees, from the 7th mile to the Narasimhaswamy temple, the devotees are allowed in groups. TTD has been alerted in the wake of cheetah movement. A high level meeting will be held tomorrow under the chairmanship of TTD Chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy. It seems that the measures to be taken for the safety of pilgrims in footpaths and ghats will be discussed. It has already been decided to implement restrictions on two ghat roads. Two-wheelers will be allowed only till 6 pm. Bikes are not allowed on the hill after that. Children below 15 years of age will not be allowed on the Alipiri and Srivari Mettu route after 2 pm. The last rites of Lakshita, who died in the leopard attack, were conducted today. The family members performed the last rites at Pothireddypalem in Nellore district. While Lakshit’s family members mourned at the dead body, the villagers shed tears. However, TTD Chairman Bhumana has already inspected the area where the incident took place. They felt that there was no point in compromising the safety of the devotees and that the targeted incident was painful. It is stated that we will think how to deal with such incidents technically.
