Today, the draw ceremony for the (Paris Grand Slam Judo Championship 2023) is taking place in the French capital, Paris, whose competitions will be held on the 4th and 5th of this month, after 535 male and female players from 85 countries have so far applied to participate in the competitions. The judo team is awaiting the results of the draw, especially since the tournament is of great importance, as it is a great opportunity for the players to collect qualifying points for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The team completed its physical and technical preparation for the competitions that will start tomorrow in the Accor Hall. Mohammed bin Thaloub Al-Derei, President of the UAE Federation, reassured, in a phone call, the progress of matters and the team’s entry into the competition atmosphere, and demanded that the team make every effort to reach the podium in light of the expected strong competition in light of the participation of world champions ranked internationally in various categories.
Four players will participate in the national team, Joram Aram in the weight of under 66 kg, Tilal Shavili in the weight of under 81 kg, Gregory Aram in the weight of under 90 kg, Dhofar Kosouf in the weight of under 100 kg, in addition to two players, Maitha Al Neyadi in the weight of under 52 kg. and Batsu Altan in the under-57kg competition.
