On Sunday, October 24, hours after J Balvin apologized for the song “Perra”, a sexist and racist song, the Dominican rapper Tokischa, who collaborated on the issue, and who so far avoided commenting on it, left the low profile behind and spoke about the controversy.
The 25-year-old artist defended her production alongside ‘The boy from Medellín ‘ , despite criticism that called her sexist and misogynistic. The avalanche of negative comments also triggered the video clip to be removed from the YouTube platform, an action that until now is unknown if it was the decision of the reggeton player.

“I don’t know what happened to the video. I didn’t have a direct explanation , I didn’t ask why either. I understand what is happening. But the music is already there, the music has already been felt, they enjoyed it and they will continue to enjoy it. Music does not die, ”Tokischa declared in an interview for the Colombian radio station W Radio.
The controversy surrounding the song by Tokischa and J Balvin became more acute when the vice president and foreign minister of Colombia, Marta Lucía Ramírez, raised her voice to cross it out as “Aberrant, abominable, and that violate the dignity of women , that send wrong signals to the country and to the world ”.
Even J Balvin’s mother expressed her disgust about the issue, saying that she did not know how her son could do something like that.
