During 2023, the authorities of the Tomsk region must determine the location of the third bridge across the Tom River. For this, a feasibility study for the construction of the facility will be developed. Nikolai Ruppel, vice-governor for construction and infrastructure, informed RIA “Tomsk” about this.
According to him, after that, design estimates for the construction will be developed.
The agency recalls that earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin approved a list of instructions for the development of the Tomsk region, designed for five years. In accordance with this list, by the end of 2027, a third bridge across the Tom should appear in the region.
It is clarified that the city needs the bridge to improve the transport situation. The authorities planned to request funding from the federal center, since only 600 million rubles are needed for the preparation of the project, and about 30 billion rubles for the construction itself.
One of the options for the location of the bridge was the area of the river between the village of Nizhny Sklad on the left bank and the former pencil factory.
Earlier it was reported that in Tomsk the construction of a small transport ring (MTK) was postponed to 2023. The total cost of the project is estimated at almost 5 billion rubles.
