CID officials said that a case was registered against Vengala Rao under sections 153 (a) 505 (2), 506, 386, 120 (b), section 67 (a) of the IT Act 2000 on the complaint filed by a person named Gandlaparthi Bharatkumar Reddy of Tadepalli on 25th of this month. Vengalarao was taken to GGH for medical examination to appear before the magistrate. He showed his injuries to the TDP leaders who met there. After medical examination, he was taken to the CID office. He was produced before the CID court magistrate after midnight on Friday. Vengala Rao expressed his grief to the judge.
Vengala Rao shed tears as the CID police stripped him of his clothes and beat him. He said that if he told this matter to the judge, he threatened to kill his two-year-old son. In the name of investigation, the CID police tortured him. The judge recorded his statement. Beating MP Raghuramakrishna Raju will not help.. ‘What can the courts do if they beat you? They threatened not to tell the judge about the beating. He said that he was beaten and made to sign a paper.. Nothing in that paper is true.
When Vengalarao showed that he had injuries on his buttocks after being beaten by the police, the magistrate ordered Shruti to undergo a medical examination. On the orders of the magistrate, Vengala Rao was taken to GGH for medical examination at around 11.55 am. The doctors will conduct the tests on Saturday morning and hand over the report to the judge in a sealed cover. On learning this, he came to the CID office along with his wife, parents and TDP leaders. When Vengala Rao’s medical examination report comes, clarity will come on these allegations.
