A terrible incident took place in Annamaiya district. Due to the heavy rains in the district, the rivers were flowing rapidly. However, in the middle of the night, a car that could not predict the rising water got lost in the river. When the whole family, who was returning from Bangalore to the hospital, got lost in the river along with the car, the locals informed the police.

The family of Ramana, a private school correspondent from Tamballapalle constituency B. Kottakota, went to the Bangalore hospital. When he was returning to his hometown after being treated at the hospital, the brook at Sampathikota was overflowing due to heavy rains. However, while crossing the river, the driver of the car continued to move forward. With that, Ramana’s family members called the locals and informed them to save them.
At the time of the accident, there were four people in the car along with the driver. When the locals saw the car lost in the stream, they immediately informed the police. Kottakota and Pedttippasamudram police reached the spot. The car was brought to the shore with the help of locals. But while Ramana and two others got out safely in the car, Maunika, who was studying B.Tech, went missing. Police launched a night search for Maunika (22) and her body was found this morning.
