The ruling of the MLAs was shocking. The party has decided not to give district presidency to those who win as MLAs on behalf of the party. With another two years to go before the Assembly elections, it seems that party president KCR is planning to give key party posts to others so that they can fully discharge their constituency responsibilities. Elections to the party district committee will be held almost five years later. Three years ago, the party dissolved district committees and set up constituency committees chaired by MLAs. It also revived the district committees with the intention of giving more posts to the party. TRS executive president KTR on Monday held a review with party general secretaries in the wake of the upcoming district committee elections from the 21st of this month. During the meeting, the issue of election of district committees was mentioned. It was revealed that there is no possibility of giving these posts to the MLAs. The party elections will be overseen by the General Secretaries. It seems that the matter has already been clarified to them. In fact four out of five MLAs in all 33 districts are aspiring for the party district presidency. Do not let them disappoint with the latest decision of the ruling. The party has directed the district ministers, MLAs, MLCs and other leaders to select candidates in coordination for the selection of district presidents. The party president KCR will finalize the names of four to five candidates for each position, taking into account services to the party, seniority, loyalty, movement background and so on. As it was decided to select the district committee also in Hyderabad, it is learned that all the qualifications for this post will be considered. Information that experienced leaders who speak all languages and are active in terms of capital background will be promoted.
