Tulio Loza Receives An Award From The Ministry Of Culture For His Contribution To Art In The Country

The Ministry of Culture (Mincul) awarded the actor Tulio Loza an award in recognition of his artistic career. The state entity gave him the distinction considering him one of the main referents of humor on Peruvian radio, television and cinema.

This award was ratified by Ministerial Resolution No. 000289-2022-DM/MC, signed by the Minister of Culture, Betssy Chávez Chino. It was published in the Official Gazette El Peruano.

The first Peruvian actor worked for decades and created unforgettable characters for many Peruvians, such as ‘Nemesio Chupaca Porongo’, ‘El Soldadito’ and ‘Camotillo el Tinterillo’.

What does the statement say about Tulio Loza?

“Precisely, he developed a character based on the profile of the typical immigrant from the province who arrived in the capital and far from being passive and naive, he rather presented attitudes of a bourgeois Creole, clever, who did not let himself be won over by anyone”, dictates a statement of the Mincul.

“Its original formula, of audacious provincial, was very popular because it was something that had not been done yet and that nobody imagined that it could exist one day”, adds the text.
