New Delhi. Elon Musk shared figures on Twitter regarding the increase in “Total User Active Seconds”, stating that the platform’s usage increased by 3.5 percent during the week globally.
“Platform usage grew 3.5 percent week over week,” he tweeted late Friday with a data chart on Twitter usage.
According to the data shared by them on the site, the majority of active users – around 87 per cent of people – were accessing the platform on mobile.
The UK has seen the largest increase of 7.2 percent in user active seconds on Twitter. It is followed by Japan where a growth of 5.7 per cent has been recorded.
Seeing Japan’s numbers so high, one user commented on Musk’s post: “Is Twitter in Japan really bigger than in the United States?”
To which he replied: “Yes, about three times the per capita usage than in the US.”
Another user commented, “Wow. Mobile is 87.6 percent of active seconds. If so, I recommend prioritizing mobile development over desktop.”
Meanwhile, Twitter has launched a new advertising revenue sharing program for creators and has also started paying hefty amounts.
“We are launching an initial group that will be invited to accept payments,” the platform had announced.
On Twitter, several creators shared how much money they got from the micro-blogging platform through the new program.
While one creator received $37,050, the other creator received $11,820.
Another creator got $69,420 through an advertising revenue program.(IANS)
