The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a court complex in Ludhiana. Two were killed and at least three were injured in the blast. One of the injured appears to have been a woman. The blast occurred on the second floor of the court complex. Firefighters rushed to the scene immediately after learning of the blast. The Bomb Squad and the forensic team also reached there. Police cordoned off the Ludhiana court premises following the blast. Ludhiana CP Gurpreet Singh said the blast was heard near a record room on the second floor of the court complex. The court complex is located close to the district commissioner’s office. Chief Minister Charanjit Singh came to know the details of the incident. He said he would visit the scene soon. He said those responsible for this should be left to fend for themselves. Former CM Amarinder Singh also reacted to this. He demanded a full investigation into the matter.
