The meeting related to the railway between the two countries was held in Muscat, the capital of Oman. Engineering design review and results of system studies were discussed in the meeting. The project will incorporate latest technologies and best international practices. Last month, an agreement was signed with Mubadala, an investment scheme in Abu Dhabi, for the development of the 303 km road. This was also discussed in the meeting.

With the start of train service, travel time between Abu Dhabi and Oman will be reduced. Abu Dhabi is connected to Oman’s port city of Suhar. A maximum of 200 km on the 303 km long route. The coming of the railway is likely to increase the number of tourists between the two countries. Due to this, more investment will come into this sector. The authorities have not yet reached a decision on whether the project will be completed.
