The lunch event was co-hosted by the Indian High Commission in the UK, Lord Jitesh Gadhia. It was organized to celebrate the friendship between the two democracies. Many people from the political, business and financial sectors attended the event.
Referring to British Foreign Secretary David Cameron, India Global Forum Chairman and CEO Manoj Ladwa said that the world faces many conflicts. He said that the UK and India sometimes have different views on how to deal with them.
He said that these differences are not related to their core values like law, freedom, diversity, trade and democracy. These values are shared by both the countries, he said.
He said that democracies need to work harder to work together. He believed that this is the right way for democracy to succeed. He revealed that India’s economy has grown a lot in recent years. He said that India is creating opportunities for itself and the world. He said that UK has a special opportunity to benefit from India’s growth. Britain needs to see what India really is.
