Israel has demanded the resignation of UN Secretary Antonio Guterres. UN envoy Gilad Erdan said Guterres’ statement was shocking. Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen canceled a planned meeting with Guterres over the statement.

The death toll in Israel’s attack on Gaza has exceeded 6,000. Thousands of women and children were killed. The Hamas-controlled Ministry of Health has reported that 5,700 Palestinians have been killed so far in the attack.
