The Public Security Affairs Department, in collaboration with the General Traffic Department and the General Directorate of Rescue Police, came out for the grammar check. All places like Shuwaikh Industrial Area, Hawalli, Khaitan, Mahbula, Qurain Market, Jahra Industrial Area etc. have been thoroughly checked.
63 non-residents who violated the residence rules were arrested during the inspection. 40 expatriates were caught with expired documents. 91 people were caught without any documents. Police also arrested 23 people who absconded from the sponsors.
Police have arrested two accused in criminal cases. Four persons were found with intoxicants. The police have arrested two people who are distributors of intoxicating substances and one person who was driving under the influence of alcohol. 423 persons who were found guilty of minor offenses were released without arrest.

Aruvikara Kadambanad Public Health Center opened
G.Stephen MLA inaugurated the renovation of Kadampanad sub-center under Aruvikara Gram Panchayat Family Health Center and turned it into a public health center. The program was organized as a part of upgrading the health sub-centres to become public health centers across the state as part of making public health activities efficient at the grassroots level. The MLA said that the importance of such health centers is huge in the context of increasing lifestyle diseases. The sub center was renovated at a cost of Rs.7 lakh. From Monday to Saturday, various clinics will work at the public health centre. Working hours are from nine in the morning to four in the evening.
The center functions as a women friendly nutrition clinic, geriatric clinic, children’s clinic, lifestyle disease clinic, pregnant woman clinic and adolescent health clinic. Lifestyle disease complication screening, counselling, palliative home visits and school visits are also included in the services of the public health centre. Janikaya Arogya Kendra is located near Kadampanad LP School.
