The cases of corona Pandemic are increasing once again. In view of this, Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya will hold a review meeting with health ministers of all states and union territories on Friday afternoon.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Covid Empowerment Working Group held a regular review meeting. The meeting was attended by Dr. VK Paul, Dr. Rajeev Behl, Director General, ICMR and other senior health officials.
Mandaviya said on the situation of Covid19 in the country that we need to be alert, there is no need to panic. Currently, the sub-variant of Omicron is spreading in the country. It does not require hospitalization.
Updates related to Corona in the country
- There were 606 new cases in Delhi on Thursday, the positivity rate was 16.98 percent. More than 500 corona cases have been reported in the capital since two days.
- On Thursday, 803 new patients of Corona appeared in Maharashtra, while 3 people died. The number of active cases of corona has increased to 3,987 in the state.
- The Madras High Court will start hybrid hearing from April 10 in view of the increasing cases of Corona. The lawyers have been asked to attend the hearing through video conferencing.
5335 new cases of corona in 24 hours, 13 deaths
After 6 and a half months, more than 5 thousand new cases of corona have come in the country. On Wednesday, 5,335 new cases were found, while 13 people died. Earlier on September 22, 5,383 cases were reported. On Wednesday, 2,826 people also recovered from the disease. Currently there are 25,587 active cases in the country. This is the highest since October 9. Then 25,488 people were undergoing treatment.
Center’s meeting regarding Kovid management
The Government Empowered Group One meeting was held on Wednesday amidst increasing Corona cases in the country. Covid management was discussed in this meeting. It was presided over by Dr. VK Paul. In May 2020, the government had formed 6 empowered groups to deal with the corona virus. More than 50 senior officers of the government were involved in these. In May 2021, the number of these groups was increased to 10.
Cases increasing faster in April than in March
The increase in the daily cases of Corona has accelerated. Presently the positivity rate is 3.32%. In 31 days of March, 31,902 cases of corona were reported. In comparison, 20,273 new cases have been received in the 5 days of April itself. This is 63.5% of the total new cases in March.
If we look at the average, in March, an average of 1 thousand new cases were found daily, while in April, an average of 4 thousand cases are coming daily. If the infection rate remains the same, then there is a possibility of 1.20 lakh new cases in April. However, according to the way new cases are increasing daily, the total cases of April may be more than this.
Two-thirds of new cases in top-5 states, Kerala at the forefront
Out of 5,335 new cases found in the country on Tuesday, 3,730 were found in only 5 states. Kerala is at the forefront of these. About 2 thousand new cases have been found here. After this, 569 cases have been reported in Maharashtra, 509 in Delhi, 389 in Himachal Pradesh and 351 in Gujarat.
Kerala: Here 1,912 new cases have been found, 500 people have been cured and 1,404 people are undergoing treatment. On Tuesday too, 1,025 new cases were registered in Kerala. Earlier on September 22, 2300 cases were reported.
Maharashtra: Here 569 new cases have been found in the last day, 485 people got cured while 2 people died. On Tuesday, 711 new cases were found here. The positivity rate here is 6.32%.
Delhi: On Wednesday, 509 new cases were reported here, 424 people were cured of the disease. Active cases have gone up to 1,795. The positivity rate here is 26.54%.
Himachal Pradesh: 389 new cases have been reported here on Wednesday, while 177 people have been cured. Currently there are 212 active cases in the state. Here the positivity rate has gone up to 8.22%.
Gujarat: 351 new cases have been found here, 1 person has died and 395 people have been cured. On Tuesday, 324 new cases were found here. The positivity rate here is 1.76%.
59 new corona patients found in Chhattisgarh: now active case 238
In the last 24 hours, 59 new patients have been found in Chhattisgarh. After this the number of active patients has increased to 238. Raipur has maximum 64 active cases. While 34 patients have become active in Bilaspur and 32 in Durg. Read the full news here…
