Dharamsala: Union Tourism Minister G. Kishan Reddy, who participated in the 3-day National Conference of State Tourism Ministers, said:
The Indian national flag should be flown majestically at tourist spots and star hotels to exemplify the country’s pride to foreigners. Nothing can be a better brand for Indian tourism than this.
India is making a significant contribution to the global tourism recovery after the Corona period. It is necessary for the central government and the state governments to work together to coordinate the development of the tourism sector and advance to a leadership position in the sector globally in the coming years.
A short-term target has been set to contribute $15,000 crore (Rs. 12 lakh crore) to the GDP through tourism by 2024.
Similarly, the tourism sector is aiming to contribute $3,000 crore (Rs 2.40 lakh crore) in foreign exchange earnings and attract 1.5 crore foreign tourists. This was said by Minister Kishan Reddy.
