1. Father of the accused in Ujjain rape case said – Why did the police catch him, he should have shot him

The father of Bharat Soni, accused in the Ujjain rape case, has said that if his son has committed a crime then he should get death penalty. He said, ‘Very wrong happened with the girl. I didn’t know that my son would turn out like this. Now what face will I show to people? The police should have shot him instead of catching him. On the other hand, the court has sent the accused to judicial custody for 7 days.
What is the whole matter: According to the police, the accused had raped a 15-year-old girl on September 25. After this the girl kept wandering in blood stained clothes for two and a half hours. Police caught the accused after scanning more than 700 CCTV footage. On September 28, the police took him to the spot for investigation. The accused tried to run away from there. During this time he got injured. He is undergoing treatment in Indore hospital.

2. The law will come into force after the President’s approval of the Women’s Reservation Bill, census and delimitation.
Nari Shakti Vandan Act i.e. Women’s Reservation Bill has been approved by President Draupadi Murmu. Now this has become law. The government has also issued its gazette notification. Under this, 33% seats in the Lok Sabha and state assemblies will be reserved for women. However, this law will come into force only after the next census and delimitation is completed. It may take several years for this to happen.
Why is this news important: This bill was passed in the special session of Parliament that ran from 18 to 21 September. This was discussed for 7 hours in the Lok Sabha on 20 September. In the voting that took place after this, 454 votes were cast in favor of the bill and only 2 were cast against it. This was discussed in the Rajya Sabha on 21 September. In the voting held there, the bill was passed unanimously, that is, no vote was cast against it. This is the first bill to be passed in the new Parliament.

4. Today is the last date for exchanging ₹2000 notes in banks, the deadline may be extended by one month.
Today is the last date for depositing and exchanging Rs 2,000 notes in banks. RBI had announced the withdrawal of Rs 2000 notes from circulation on May 19. Also, it was suggested to deposit or exchange these notes in the bank by 30th September. However, even after this these notes will remain legal. According to the Reserve Bank, till September 1, 90% of Rs 2000 notes i.e. Rs 3,056 billion have been returned to the banks.
Why is this news important: This deadline can be extended for one month. Money Control has given this information quoting a senior RBI official. According to the official, this will be done keeping in mind the non-resident Indians (NRIs) and other people living abroad. Still 7% of ₹2000 notes i.e. Rs 25 thousand crores have not returned to the banks.

5. 2 suicide blasts in Pakistan on the day of Eid-e-Milad, more than 55 people died

Two suicide blasts took place in Pakistan on the day of Eid-e-Milad. The first blast took place near a mosque in Mastung city of Balochistan. People were gathering here for the procession. More than 50 people, including the DSP, died in the blast, while 92 people were injured. The second blast took place in a mosque in Hangu city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Four people including a police officer died here. The roof of the mosque collapsed due to the explosion, trapping many people.
Why is this news important: The Chief Minister of Balochistan has announced 3 days of mourning in the state. The government has said that it will take full responsibility for the treatment of the injured. The terrorist organization Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) is believed to be involved in the blast, but the organization has denied it.
