The festival of Hartalika Teej is celebrated every year on the Tritiya Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapad month. This year the fast of Hartalika Teej will be kept on 6th September, Friday. This is a very difficult and waterless fast. Let us tell you that on Hartalika Teej, married women observe a waterless fast for unbroken good fortune. On this day, women worship Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati. In Indian culture, marriage is considered the best and most sacred ritual.
Hartalika Teej fast is also observed by unmarried girls. Unmarried girls observe this fast to get a good groom. However, the rules of fasting are different for them. This fast can also be observed on a fruit diet. Hartalika Teej fast is usually observed without water. But unmarried girls can observe this fast on a fruit diet. Sankalp should be taken in Brahmamuhurt after taking bath etc. and wearing clean clothes. On the day of Haritalika Teej worship, wake up before sunrise and after taking bath, offer water to Sun God.
According to the Panchang, the Tritiya Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month will start on 05 September at 12:21 pm. While this date will end on 06 September at 03:21 pm. In such a situation, the fast of Hartalika Teej will be kept on 06 September. The auspicious time to worship on this day is from 06:02 am to 08:33 am. By worshiping in this Muhurta, the seeker will get double the fruits.
