During the decade 2011–2021, the area under greenery increased by a maximum of 48.66 sq km. 19.91 sq km in the national capital Delhi .. 8.55 sq km in Ahmedabad and 4.98 sq km in the so-called Green City Bangalore. Greater Hyderabad, with an area of 634.18 sq km, had only 33.15 sq km of greenery in 2011 and increased to 81.81 sq km by 2021.
Government cares about greenery
After the emergence of Telangana, the greenery in the city is gradually increasing with the care and greening of the state government. Nearly four crore plants have been planted and distributed to the people on behalf of the government as part of the greening programs conducted so far in the city of Greater. Responding to the report, GHMC said, “As part of the greening program, we are pleased to announce that this is possible with the help of education, research, plants planted in industrial lands, and torrential rains.”

The Central Forest Department conducts a field survey in Greater ఏడాది based on year-round satellite imagery. Experts have compared the colors in satellite images to field-level plants. What kind of trees do they look like, forest area, crop fields, cultivated lands are assessed and greenery is calculated.
