The National Office for Health Safety of Food Products (UNSA) called on the Marjane Foundation in Agadir to reconcile the marketing of watermelons, both red and yellow, due to chemicals that are not fit for consumption.
The head of the Department of Control of Vegetable Products and Vegetarian Origin in Agadir wrote to the director of the “Morgan Foods in Agadir” institution, regarding the marketing of unhealthy watermelon.
“I regret to inform you that your store was subject to sampling of watermelon on 08/01/2023 for analysis, and the results of the analyzes showed the presence of influential and unapproved components in Morocco,” said the “Once” correspondent to the director of Marjane.
The source stressed the need to stop marketing this substance because it contains the active ingredients Flonikamid and Triadimenol found in watermelon taken under No. RS225RR2335 / Watermelon / GMS / DR6.
The head of the Department of Control of Vegetable and Vegetarian Products in Agadir urged the director of the Marjane Foods Corporation in the same city to stop marketing this watermelon pending further investigations and traceability of this batch and the quantities still in stock.
