Auraiya. Ajitmal Kotwali police and SWAT team of Auraiya district have got great success. Here, on the information of an informer, the police arrested four international drug smugglers with 6 kg 700 grams of hashish. Police have also recovered two mobile phones and some money from them.
The four smugglers caught include two Nepali women and one Nepali male smugglers. At present the police have arrested all four and sent them to jail. Three of these smugglers had come to Auraiya from Nepal via Gorakhpur. The price of this drug in the international market is estimated at Rs 2 crore. Regarding the incident, let us tell you that two women and a man from Nepal along with their children had reached Auraiya with a huge consignment of drugs. Who was going to give this consignment to Rajkumar Dubey, a young man resident of Auraiya, but on the information of the informer, Ajitmal Kotwali police and SWAT team of Auraiya arrested these four drug smugglers from near Hasulia intersection.
Besides, 6 kg 700 grams of hashish was also recovered from them. Among the smugglers caught, Rajkumar Dubey is said to be a resident of Auraiya while Prem Hazra, Punita and Geeta are residents of Nepal. The three people coming from Nepal had brought along their infants as a family so that the police and other people could not get suspicious.
These people reached Kanpur from Nepal via Gorakhpur and after that they were going to deliver the consignment in Ajitmal area of Auraiya. At present the price of this drug in the international market is estimated at Rs 2 crore. The Superintendent of Police has also announced a reward of ₹ 25,000 for the arresting team.
