Lucknow: There will be a change in the BJP in UP, and more from the BJP13 MLAs Nationalist Congress Party chief Sarabhavar said they were going to the Samajwadi Party.
Swami Prasad Maurya, a senior minister in the Yogi Adityanath-led cabinet, has abruptly resigned in the run-up to the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. He joined the Samajwadi Party.
Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Manipur, Punjab and Uttarakhand have been declared by the Central Election Commission (CEC). Uttar Pradesh will go to the polls in seven phases. The election, which begins on February 10, runs until March 7.
Political parties have been campaigning vigorously via the internet since the election was announced and live campaigning has been banned due to the corona infection.
In this situation, Swami Prasad, the most important leader of the other backward sections of the state, left the party and joined the Samajwadi Party.
The letter from Swami Prasad resigning as a minister stated:
I worked with Yogi Adityanath in the cabinet despite the different ideology. However, I am resigning from my post due to the severe repression of Dalits, other backward classes, farmers, the unemployed and small workers.
Thus stated. He later met Akhilesh Yadav and joined the party.
Following this, three MLAs Roshan Lal Verma, Brijesh Prajapati and Bhagwati Sagar announced their resignations. They also joined the Samajwadi Party.
In this case, the BJP has 15 more MLAs Nationalist Congress Party leader Sarabjit Pawar has said that the Samajwadi Party will leave the party. Sarath Pawar, who is campaigning jointly with Akhilesh Yadav in UP, said:
Change is coming in UP. Maurya has resigned today. With him13 MLAs Are going. You will see in the coming days, and many more will leave. It will soon be known what is going on there.
