Ayodhya: A huge Ram temple is being built in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. Due to this, Ayodhya is crowded with people during festivals including Diwali.
Similarly, lakhs of people gather in Ayodhya on New Year. During the last New Year, more than 30 lakh people gathered in Ayodhya. This year around 50 lakh people camped in Ayodhya on the occasion of New Year.
Ayodhya District Collector Nitish Kumar said, “Ayodhya has many temples. Devotees are thronging the temples to perform special prayers in the New Year. Many tourists also visit. Keeping this in mind, strong security arrangements have been made throughout Ayodhya. “There has been a change in traffic,” he said.
