New Delhi: A male passenger urinated on the blanket on the seat of a female passenger in an Air India flight on December 6. This is the 2nd incident on an Air India flight.
Earlier, on November 26, a male passenger urinated on a female passenger on a New York-Delhi flight that sparked a huge public debate. Air India was subsequently fined and the pilot’s license suspended.
This came to light only after the Ministry of Civil Aviation (DGCA) sought an explanation from Air India regarding another urinating incident on December 6 last year. Until then, it was revealed that Air India had tried to cover up the matter by not reporting it. Subsequently, the Air Transport Regulatory Authority imposed a fine of Rs 10 lakh on Air India for not reporting this gain.
