Upgraded Points, the travel company, conducted a study to determine what are the best VIP lounges at airports in the United States.
The company knows how important these spaces are to pass the time during layovers or flight delays, so it took into account customer ratings and the hours of operation in which they provide useful services and fun distractions that can make a difference.
“Airport lounges used to be considered exclusive places for elite travelers,” said Alex Miller, founder of Upgraded Points. But in recent years, these lounges have become a popular attraction for all kinds of travelersparticularly those facing layovers and flight cancellations.”
Upgraded Points analyzed more than 225 lounges at 50 of the largest airports in the US. using data collected from various authorities on airport lounges. The numbers were then evaluated and adjusted for airport size (per square mile) to normalize the data.
The study used 15 different classification factors, including the opening hours, the services offered in each salon and customer reviews. Only airports with at least 5 lounges on the list were included in those rankings.
