US Moves to Electric Vehicles;  Big project for charging stations



The US government has announced a $7.5 billion plan to build 70,000 electric vehicle chargers for states in the US, making charging electric vehicles as easy as filling up at a gas station.

The government has approved a special program to fund the construction of electric vehicle chargers. States can now use federal grants to build charging stations.

The aim is to build 500,000 EV chargers across the country by 2030. . There are currently 130,000 public EV chargers installed in the country. New US policies support the future of the electric vehicle charging industry. Public and private initiatives will spur growth in this sector.

Countries around the world are moving towards electric vehicles. The Biden administration is also prioritizing it.The goal is to create a made-in-America electric vehicle (EV) charging network. More charging stations for electric vehicles will electrify the American road trip. The goal is to have 500,000 electric vehicle chargers on highways and other locations across America.

The goal is for 50 percent of new car sales to be electric vehicles by 2030. The goal of the Biden administration is to prevent pollution and face the climate crisis. Promoting the domestic EV and EV charging industry will also help create more employment opportunities. The target is net-zero carbon emission roads by 2050. 7.5 billion dollars will be invested in electric charging stations, 10 billion dollars in transport sector and 7 billion dollars in sectors like EV battery components and critical minerals.

Electric vehicle sales tripled under President Biden’s leadership. , the number of publicly available charging ports has also increased by 40 percent. There are now more than three million electric vehicles and 130,000 public chargers across the country. The Biden administration believes the construction of a convenient and reliable charging network needs to be accelerated to make charging an electric vehicle a seamless experience. Major companies including Tesla, General Motors, EVGO, Pilot, Hertz and BP have announced plans to install thousands of public charging ports in the country over the next two years. Tesla has announced a special plan for this. Other vehicles can now be charged at Tesla’s charging stations.
