Kamila Valieva leads after the short program at the Russian Figure Skating Championships, which takes place on December 24 in St. Petersburg.
According to “Sport-Express”, she successfully performed a triple axel, a triple flip, as well as a cascade of jumps, consisting of a triple lutz and a triple sheepskin coat, having received 90.38 points for hire.
Sofia Muravyova is in second place in the short program. She cleanly performed the triple axel (81.87). Anna Shcherbakova closes the top three with 81.46 points.
Alexandra Trusova (74.21) and Elizaveta Tuktamysheva (71.28) fell during the rental while performing a triple axel, and took fifth and seventh places, respectively.
The skaters will present their free programs tomorrow, December 25.
Earlier on December 24, it was reported that Valieva showed a result higher than the world record at the Russian Championship. For hire, the 15-year-old figure skater scored 90.38 points.
Also on this day, figure skater Mark Kondratyuk became the champion of Russia in men’s single skating.
