On March 22, Valve Studio introduced the game Counter-Strike 2 (CS-2) and published three gameplay videos on its YouTube channel.
In the first video, the developers talked about creating realistic smoke that reacts to light, shots and explosions.
The second video showcases the new lighting system, redesigned maps, and various graphical improvements.
The third video is dedicated to the frequency (ticket) with which the server updates the game data. According to the studio, in CS-2 this system has been significantly improved.
In early March, esports journalist Richard Lewis wrote that the tick rate would be 128 Hertz. Online shooters consider this indicator to be a benchmark, currently it is supported only in a few games, for example, in Valorant from Riot Games.
Closed testing of CS-2 will begin on March 22, and the release will take place in the summer of 2023, Gazeta.Ru adds.
It was previously reported that the fantasy action Ghostwire: Tokyo from the developer Tango Gameworks will be released on the Xbox Series X and Microsoft Game Pass subscription service on April 12.
