He said that as part of the first phase, 75 cities of the country are being connected, and after this is completed, the second phase will begin. He clarified that Vande Bharat trains will be started to connect more cities in Telugu states in the second phase.
Ashwini Vaishnav said that soon the track capacity between Secunderabad and Vijayawada will be increased to 160 km. He said that the head office is being constructed in connection with the new railway zone at Visakhapatnam and after its completion, GM will be appointed. Ashwini Vaishnav said that 30 cities have been connected by Vande Bharat train between Secunderabad and Visakhapatnam. Vande Bharat trains have high fares due to the possibility of reaching the destination quickly and the availability of state-of-the-art facilities. He said that people want to reach their destinations quickly and Vande Bharat trains make that possible.
The Vande Bharat train which has become available between Secunderabad and Visakhapatnam will reduce the travel time considerably. From Secunderabad you can reach Vijayawada in three hours and Visakhapatnam in 8.30 hours. 1128 seats are available in it. Along with Wi-Fi facility, there are facilities like CCTV cameras and rest room. Many people are interested in traveling in Vande Bharat trains even though the fares are high due to the state-of-the-art facilities.
