As far as Vande Bharat fares are concerned, the chair car ticket price between Visakhapatnam and Secunderabad is Rs.1720 per person and the executive class ticket price is Rs.3170 per person on the IRCTC website. Chair car ticket price from Secunderabad to Vijayawada is Rs.905 per person, executive class price is Rs.1775. Chair car price to Rajahmundry is Rs.1365, executive class price is Rs.2485. The ticket prices are inclusive of catering, reservation, GST and super fast charges.
Bookings for Vande Bharat Express have been made available on the IRCTC website from today. Also, the authorities are issuing tickets through the counters offline as well. On the occasion of Sankranthi tomorrow at 10 am PM Modi will start this train by waving the green flag through virtual. Then Vande Bharat train will depart from Secunderabad at 10.30 hrs. It will reach Visakhapatnam at 8.45 pm. This train will stop at 21 stations on the first day. It will stop only at Warangal, Khammam, Vijayawada and Rajahmundry stations from Monday.
Initially, the officials thought that this train should be launched in Secunderabad by the hands of Narendra Modi on 19th of this month. To this extent, Modi’s visit to Telangana has also been finalized. But Modi’s visit to Telangana was postponed due to BG schedule. With this, the authorities have arranged for Modi to start the Vande Bharat train from Secunderabad through video conference on 15th of this month. Vande Bharat Express will run between Secunderabad and Visakhapatnam from Monday to Saturday. Sunday has been declared a holiday for maintenance.
It takes 12 hours to reach Visakhapatnam from Secunderabad in other express trains. But one can reach Visakhapatnam from Secunderabad by Vande Bharat Express in just 8.30 hrs. At first, the officials thought to turn it up to Vijayawada, then extended it to Visakhapatnam.
