Umrah pilgrims from foreign countries have been allowed to enter the country since yesterday. Those from Saudi Arabia were allowed to perform Umrah from July 9 after the completion of the Hajj days. Saudi Arabia has completed preparations to welcome thousands of pilgrims from around the world. One of the main goals of Saudi Vision 2030 is to significantly increase the number of Umrah visas.
Family Visit Visa
Pilgrims on family visit visa can perform Umrah. This visa can be obtained through a relative living in the country. The relative submitting the application must be a Saudi citizen or resident of Saudi Arabia. If foreigner must have valid Iqama. The pilgrim needs to make sure to book an appointment through the Nusuk platform before or after arriving in the country. Applications can be made through the website of the Ministry of External Affairs at ve://shme.eelama.zhime.me.
Personal Visit Visa
Saudi nationals can invite their friends to the country to perform Umrah on a personal visit visa. The specialty of this visa is that you can get single entry visa and multiple entry visa. Pilgrims can perform Umrah and visit the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah. One can visit historical places and other cultural centers in different cities of the country.
Tourist trips can also be made to all regions and cities in Saudi Arabia. A single entry visa is valid for 90 days. Duration of stay is 90 days. Multiple entry visa is valid for one year. You can re-enter the country within 90 days. Pilgrims can apply through the Ministry of External Affairs website.
Transit Visit Visa
Pilgrims can use transit visit visa if arriving by air. It is also allowed to visit Makkah and Madinah. The visa is valid for 90 days. This visa can only stay in the country for four days. Visa is issued free of charge immediately upon purchase of airline ticket. Pilgrims can reserve tickets and submit visa applications through the electronic platforms of Saudi Airlines or Flynas. Visa will be sent to beneficiary’s e-mail.
Visa on arrival
On arrival visa can also be applied for from UK, EU countries, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, China, Singapore, South Korea, Brunei, Malaysia, Kazakhstan.
Those under 18 must be accompanied by a relative. Another requirement is to have a passport with a validity of not less than six months. Must take an approved medical insurance policy in Saudi. Visa fee will be charged.

There are extensive systems to perform Umrah under authorized Umrah service companies. 350 Umrah companies have been given permission for the new Umrah season so far. With the completion of the process within a week, it may reach 550. The companies are classified according to the quality of service into categories A, B and C. The quality of Umrah companies is subjected to quarterly analysis and grading is done in various categories.
The satisfaction rate of services provided by Umrah service companies to pilgrims should be above 90% every quarter. Must have above 90% grade in compliance with regulations and guidelines for Umrah companies. Strict action will be taken against Umrah companies that fail in services. Companies and institutions are graded up and downgraded depending on their performance level. Umrah companies are fully responsible for the pilgrims entering the country. Companies should ensure that pilgrims return within the visa period.
Umrah companies are responsible for ensuring complete services for the pilgrims such as accommodation, flight ticket, health insurance, transport within Saudi Arabia and ground services. These are the procedures that are part of the Umrah Reservation Program. Pilgrims under 18 must be accompanied by a parent.
