Vijay and Rashmika have been rumored to be dating ever since Geetha Govindam. After that these two acted together in the movie Dear Comrade. This movie released in 2019 failed to meet expectations at the box office. Later these two did not act together again. But.. if the opportunity comes? Rashmika Mandana has been saying since last year that they will definitely act together again.
But.. now Rashmika Mandana has grown as a Pan India heroine. Her recent movie Vaarisu with Dalapathy Vijay collected more than Rs.250 crores. She did the same in Bollywood in the movie Mission Majnu. She also has some other Hindi films in her hand. There are also reports that talks are being held for a film opposite Nithin in Telugu as well.
On the other hand, Vijay Devarakonda faced an unexpected disaster with the movie Liger last year. The movie Liger directed by Puri Jagannath was released as a Pan India movie amid huge expectations. But it flopped at the box office. Vijay Devarakonda, who has been taking a gap since then, is now working on completing Khushi’s movie with Samantha. Similarly, Jersey director Gautham Tinnanuri has also signed a film in the direction.
Parusuram directed Geetha Govindam movie. Gopi Sundar also composed the music for that movie. Overall, it seems that the same combination is going to be repeated for the sequel as well.
