In the latest trial run, the train departed from Vijayawada at 7.50 and reached Duvwada at 11.50. That is 330 km. The distant destination was reached within four hours. After this trial run about an hour and a half will be saved. In the middle of this journey, the train stopped at Rajahmundry for 10 minutes. The speed has been greatly reduced near Yalamanchili station with the third platform works. If these tasks are also completed… we can go even earlier.
Maximum capacity of ICF coaches is 110 kmph while LHBV is 130 kmph. It is said that the speed of trains like Godavari, Gautami, AP Express and Konark running with LHB bogies can be increased by 130 kmph. If the speed of these trains is to be increased, the time table will also have to be changed. It is said that if these trains are included in the zero-based timetable without stopping till October, the speed will increase.
Moreover, one Vande Bharat train has been allotted to AP as well. That is why it is expected that the Vande Bharat trains will come soon after the success of this trail run. Moreover, with this trial run, up to Secunderabad-Vijayawada-Duvwada, the maximum distance is 130 km. It should be said that the line has been cleared for trains to run at speed.
